The purpose of this blog
This blog will serve as a tool for me to explore the potentialities and the
advantages of having a blog for non-profit purposes.
The content of the blog will initially focus on an economic empowerment
project for women residing in Kibera, the biggest slum in Africa, located in
Nairobi, the capital of Kenya.
The blog will describe the activities and purposes of the project with narrative
and audio-visual material, to give a complete idea to potential donors about
the benefits of the project. Hopefully, through this blog, the project will receive donations and establish partnerships.
The photo below will give an idea of the beautiful handcrafts
(jewelry) Kibera women produce. Anyone can support the women by buying their jewelry.
Economic independence for the women of Kibera is everything! Groups of women create and sell traditional jewellery and handicrafts from Kenya. Support them!
